  • Weather check, by vessel operator.
  • Float plan approved by Lab Manager or Director.
  • Install plugs.
  • Tilt motor and use safety latch if hauling.
  • Check battery, oil and gas

Post-Voyage Check List
  • Notify lab manager of your return.
  • Report any damage, accidents or problems to lab
    manager.
  • Secure gear and equipment.
  • Only the fire extinguisher is to be left on
    board.
  • Top off gas tank.

  • Flush motor with fresh water.
  • Wash boat using soap, water, and brushes.
  • Wash the trailer and hitch with fresh water.
  • Remove all drain plugs.
  • Stow boat in its proper place.
  • Complete float plan.
  • Replace registration.
