2The purpose of this powerpoint presentation is to
familiarize firefighters and officers with the
assets of the Plymouth County Technical Rescue
Team. Technical rescue is unique and complex and
it requires an increased amount of specialized
training and the skill is seldom put to use in
real rescues.
3Plymouth County technical rescue team
Technical Rescue involves the location, rescue
(extrication), and initial medical stabilization
of victims trapped in confined spaces, structural
collapse, transportation accidents, collapsed
trenches, incidents requiring rope rescue and
underwater rescue/recovery.
- Medium Duty Technical Rescue Task Force
4- The team is made up of 50 members from fire
departments around the County training together
regularly.
5- Plymouth County Tech Rescue has four fully
equipped trailers
6- Upon activation the trailers are delivered to the
scene by their host Towns
7- Equipment gets staged upon arrival for the
specific type of rescue
8- Inside of mobile command which is activated on
all incidents

11- Confined space and rope rescue equipment
12- High pressure bags, stokes and trench collapse

13- All trailers are equipped with a portable
generator, lighting and extension cords.
