The purpose of this powerpoint presentation is to
familiarize firefighters and officers with the
assets of the Plymouth County Technical Rescue
Team. Technical rescue is unique and complex and
it requires an increased amount of specialized
training and the skill is seldom put to use in
real rescues.

Plymouth County technical rescue team
Technical Rescue involves the location, rescue
(extrication), and initial medical stabilization
of victims trapped in confined spaces, structural
collapse, transportation accidents, collapsed
trenches, incidents requiring rope rescue and
underwater rescue/recovery.

  • The team is made up of 50 members from fire
    departments around the County training together
    regularly.

  • Plymouth County Tech Rescue has four fully
    equipped trailers

  • Upon activation the trailers are delivered to the
    scene by their host Towns

    specific type of rescue
