  • Complaints of progressive dyspnoea since one year
    with
  • chest pain, decreased appetite weight loss
  • Clinical Impression Constrictive pericarditis of
    possibly
  • tuberculous etiology
  • 2D Echo RA Enlargement, LV EF 40, Thickened
  • pericardium 10 mm

    fever with chills, Erythematous maculopapular
    rash, Bilateral parotid enlargement Posterior
    cervical lymphadenopathy
  • Rapid test for leptospirosis was positive
  • Autopsy Moderate cardiomegaly (weight 325 gm)
    Moderate biatrial biventricular hypertrophy
    Creamy, fleshy myocardium

  • Admitted with 4 days history of fever, followed
    by altered sensorium bilateral upper and lower
    limb weakness History of passing urine stool
    in bed
  • Hematological investigations Hb 10.5 gm/dl TLC
    67000/cmm 81 eosinophils
  • Clinical radiological impression Acute
    demyelinating encephalomyelitis
  • Therapy with steroids Imatinib
