Before you begin
  • Make sure that Skype is installed and running on
    the computer.
  • Make sure the handset is sufficiently charged.
  • Make sure the Pc has internet connectivity and
    that Skype is logged in.

Installation of the Base Station
  • Connect the Base Station to the USB port. Make
    sure it is connected directly and not through a
    USB hub.
  • Install the CIT 200 driver on the PC (Recommended
    version is 3.7.0)

Reseting the handset.
  • You need to reset the handset before registering
    it for the first time. Also the handset needs
    resetting in case it stops responding and also
    before registering.
  • For reseting the handset, go to Menu System
    Reset. It will ask you for the Pin Code (0000 by
    default)
  • Do not delete the Handset (Option available in
    System)

Registering the handset to the base Station.
  • Go to Menu System Register on the handset. It
    will ask you for the pin number (0000 by default)
  • Press the Page button on the USB base station for
    5 secs till the power light flashes.
  • When the power light starts flashing, press OK on
    the handset to confirm the Pin that you fed in.
  • Handset will display Reg Base 1 if procedure is
    successful.

Verifying the registration of the handset.
  • If the handset has been registered successfully,
    then press the Page Button on the Base Station
    once. This will cause the handset to emit a
    musical sound. This will verify that the Handset
    is registered to the Base Station. Pressing Page
    once again will turn of the music.
  • If you are not able to get any response from the
    handset, then repeat the procedure of reseting
    and re-registering the Base Station to the
    handset.

Giving Access to CIT200 through Skype.
  • Open up the Skype application and log in.
  • Go to Options Privacy Manage other programs
    access to Skype. Over here give CIT 200 complete
    access.

Changing the Audio Device to CIT 200
  • Go to Control Panel Sound and Audio Devices.
  • Over here go to the audio tab. Make sure that
    Sound Playback and Sound Recording both are set
    to CIT 200.

Troubleshooting Steps.
  • Before trying any of the troubleshooting steps,
    verify that the Handset is registered properly
    with the Base Station. Also, the customer should
    be able to login to Skype and use it to
    make/receive calls.

Getting an engaged tone
  • If the customer is trying to call up his Skype
    Contacts, then make sure that he can do the same
    from the Skype application.
  • Check the sound and audio device settings in
    control panel.
  • Make sure that CIT200.exe is allowed access in
    the Skype window.
  • Use the number in the international dialing
    format.
  • Driver version should be 3.7.0

No sound through the handset.
  • Check the sound and audio device settings in
    control panel.
  • Make sure that the sound output and the
    microphone input on the computer is not muted.
  • Check the Skype audio settings to confirm that it
    is not muted over there.
  • Check the audio settings of the handset.

Unable to register the handset to the base
station.
  • Install the latest driver (3.7.0)
  • Make sure that the base station is plugged in
    directly and not into a USB hub.
  • There should not be any other USB devices plugged
    into the USB ports of the computers.
