- ONLY ARB issues BUILD authority!
- Functions like CCB, but only over operational
architecture decisions - ALL PIM changes Status, New, Retire
- ALL Projects, before procurement, to obtain a
Build Permit

- The ARBAF (The Form)
- For PIM additions/changes, add documentation if a
complex change - All Projects Design documents, Project plan
- Some work efforts submit as if a project when
architecturally significant or nonstandard
8What to Submit Attachment Tips
- Document physical components and dependencies
- Document logical components and dependencies
- Document data flow, security plan
- Expect refinements with ARB maturity
- Consult your EA buddy if in doubt

- Currently a form must be emailed to schedule the
review - Likely migration to Remedy
- Attachments welcome, but bring hardcopy to
meeting when you are scheduled. - NO BUILD until approved!
10When IN, When OUT?
- Same schedule as CCB due by Noon Monday
- Meetings Tuesday 2pm, weekly
- Completeness helps on documentation
- Some reviews may span additional meetings- plan
ahead - Decision in 1-2 meetings.
11Results? A decision can be
- PIM change approved and published
- Build Permit approved
- Build Permit conditionally approved
- Build Permit denied
- Referred to another governance group
- Information request - deferred
