  • moment of inertia, for rotational motion
  • inductance, e.g., for electrical circuit
  • need a displacement, or its equivalent
  • amplitude (position, voltage, pressure, etc.)
  • need a negative feedback to counter inertia
  • displacement-dependent restoring force spring,
    gravity, etc.
