Global Project Aims
  • Identify core competences to develop a syllabus
    so as to define standards of education and
    training for respiratory specialists in Europe.
  • Identify the elements of a curriculum to meet the
    identified standards.
  • Provide learners and educators with high quality
    standardised learning/teaching material.
  • Define requirements for accredited training
    centres.
  • Define requirements for a future European
    Certificate in Respiratory Medicine.

  • Definition of target audience
  • Adult respiratory medicine, with the objective of
    producing a doctor specialist in respiratory
    medicine.
  • Target audience is thus not nurses, not
    physiotherapists, not paediatricians and not GPs.

  • Level 1 Awareness sufficient to recognise and
    know when to refer
  • Level 2 Knowledge sufficient to manage with
