Looking for a comprehensive freight management
solution ?
WISL Dispatch is a comprehensive freight
management system designed to support all major
functions involved in freight terminal
operations. The Dispatch and Call Acceptance
facilities handle the requirements of pickup
dispatch. The Shipment Auditor module provides
for conversion of dispatch records with input of
bill of lading data into shipment records. The
Dockside facility uses shipment records created
in the Shipment Auditor for the generation of
manifests and to control loading for linehaul.

WISL has the answer !!
Keyboard input can be used for all data
entry in WISL Dispatch or input can be accepted
from bar codes through scanners. Bar codes can
also be printed for shipment labelling. Triggered
by customer indicator, EDI 214 Shipment Status
transactions can be automatically generated by
the system upon change of shipment status. WISL
Dispatch is designed to interface with WISL's
FAIS rating package, the WISL Billing module and
the WISL EDI Transportation System. It can also
be interfaced with third party rating/billing
systems and EDI packages.

WISL Dispatch
The WISL Dispatch System is a collection of
modules which handles both the record-keeping
aspects of the dispatch process and the interface
between dispatch and terminal functions. The
Dispatch system consists of four major
components the pick-up dispatching system, the
shipment auditor routine, the dockside functions,
and the delivery dispatch system. Additional
facilities include comprehensive shipment
tracking and tracing, trailer status maintenance
and inquiry along with interfaces to
rating/billing, EDI and routing facilities.

follow-up if a dispatch or shipment record cannot
    be initially located.
  • Reporting
  • Numerous analytical reports, including customer
activity monitoring and incidence of dispatch
activity are organized in an easy to follow menu
    structure.
  • Asset Management
  • The current location of each truck and trailer
is tracked along with all movement within a
defined previous period. Data may also be stored
    to facilitate maintenance. Reporting illustrates

Shipments may be specified by a variety of
parameters and selected from the resulting list.
Detail of the shipment may then be displayed. If
the shipment/dispatch cannot be located it can be
added to a trace list and searched again later
without having to re-enter the search criteria.
The trace list can be utilized as follow-up by
customer service personnel.

WISL Dispatch provides for keeping
biographic records on any road equipment and
Asset Management allows for tracking the
movements of that equipment. Data entry
techniques are employed that allow the drivers to
enter equipment movement transactions themselves.
Reporting is in place to police this data entry
process. There is also analytical reporting and
facilities to support equipment maintenance.
