Old Process

• Grew like Kudzu over many years
• Under control of just one person
• Held together with chewing gum and baling wire
• Not documented and no one understood it
• Corrections, deletions and replacements were
  difficult to accomplish

Why create a new process?

• Feeds guru left the company
• SII was being replaced by CCI
• Library Intranet page had reached state of
  maturity and was logical place to locate and
  manage these processes
• Library and I.T. staff had the necessary
  programming skill sets.

What did it take to do this?

• A year of person hours (2 people working 6
  months)
• Months of testing
• Two other people holding the old process together
  while new system was developed
