  • Teacher input of diversity in Indian tourism

  • Investigation task This is timed activity, Put
    pupils in expert groups. On a carousel get one
    person to stay at the table whilst the rest move
    to India a member from another group. (slides7-9)
  • Also each individual is given a map so that they
    can locate where the tourist destination is. This
    can become part of their tourist brochure.
  • In pairs or as a brochure they create a travel
    brochure to present to the rest of the class.

Why Travel India
  • As you probably know India has a very rich
    History. Most of its tourist hot spots have
    Historical links and this means many people visit
    to find out more about these places.
  • Such a rich history is inter-tangled with
    its beautiful palaces, temples and monuments.
  • The most frequently visited part of India is
    the Golden Triangle. The great cities of Mumbai
    and Delhi have a bustling, colourful charm, while
    the holy city of Varanasi or the awe-inspiring
    temples of Tamil Nadu are where you find many on
    their journey of pilgrimage.
  • For those who prefer more exotic pleasures
    tackling the palm-fringed beaches of Goa. And for
    solitude, India ripples with mountains and hills,
    from the towering beauty of the Himalayas to pine
    forests, lakes and babbling streams.One of the
    fascinations of India is the of old and new
    centuries of history rubbing shoulders with the
    computer age as Bangalore's has its Silicon
    Valley' and yet you can find the old as its
    has the remotest village.

India is a incredible land of dramatically
different cultures all under one flag. For
example like Rajasthan some might describe as
positively barmy. The reason being within this
state you have the golden sand of a desert, to
sounds and smell that make totally to any other
place in India. Even the way people dress
attracts sightseers Rajasthan. India tourists
sights are endless, from the Cities Like Delhi,
Mumbai Kolkata, through the holy cities like
Varanasi and Banaras. If you choose to travel
India, it is a place that has huge differences
from the north to the south and even from East to
west. It is not common to find as you walk on
the streets to find the wandering cows on busy
highways and Bollywood posters. All part of the
hustle and bustle of India.

    for the board of Tourism for India.

    Board.
  • Gather information about 6 most popular Tourist
    Destinations in India.
  • In order to be successful you will need to visit
    virtual India and interview a representavitive
    from one of the tourist Destination.
  • Want to know how this will take place look at
    the next slide.

Virtual India
  • Each table represents a different tourist
    destination in India.
  • You will need to sent one of your representative
    from your tourist office to collect information.
  • In order to make this successful, you need to
  • organise yourself in groups of 6.
  • one person will need to stay back at the office
    (your group desk) to take down the key
    information that other journalist will come back
    with.
  • You will need to take a your map to pin point
    your location of these tourist destinations.
  • The other 5 members of your group will need to
    visit the other tourist groups (other groups) to
    get the key information for the travel brochure.

article that will make your teacher chose your
