Senior Management Team - UVM

• Jose Ortega (Chief Executive Officer) Over 30
  years of experience working at UVM, where he has
  been involved in the Human Resources, Public
  Relations, Marketing and Business Development
  functions until reaching the position of
  President in 1981. Mr. Ortega has a BA in
  Industrial Relations from Universidad
  Iberoamericana and an MBA from the Instituto
  Politecnico Nacional.
• Ralf Peters (Chief Operating Officer) Over 20
  years of experience with large Mexican and
  American companies including McKinsey Co.,
  Citibank and AFORE Bancomer (joint venture with
  Aetna), where he was CEO and architect of the
  most successful launch and operation of the
  largest private pension company in Latin America.
  Mr. Peters has a BS in Industrial Engineering
  from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from
  the University of Chicago.
• Alberto Ortega (Chief Administrative Officer)
  Over 35 years experience in the finance
  departments of large public companies like
  Volkswagen de Mexico, Compañia Comercial Herdez
  and Cervecería Cuauhtemoc. Mr. Ortega has worked
  at UVM since 1970 and is currently its Chief
  Administrative Officer. Mr. Ortega has a degree
  in Accounting from Universidad del Valle de
  Mexico and an MBA from the Instituto Panamericano
  de Alta Direccion.
• Hernan Mora (Chief Financial Officer) Over 20
  years experience working in financial and
  operational positions. Worked as CFO of AFP
  Santa Maria, one of Chiles largest private
  pension funds. Was CFO for Afore Bancomer, Latin
  Americas second largest private pension fund,
  participating in its start-up and development
  phases. Mr. Mora was also CFO for Seguros
  Bancomer and Pensiones Bancomer, both leaders in
  their respective markets. Mr. Mora has a BS in
  Civil Engineering from Universidad de Chile and
  an MBA from Universidad Católica de Chile.

• Cesar Morales (Chief Academic Officer) Over 40
  years experience in the Mexican education sector.
  Dr. Morales has had several assignments at the
  Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de
  Monterrey (ITESM) ranging from faculty member to
  President of the Mexico City Metropolitan Zone
  (1985 to 2002). During his assignment as
  President, Dr. Morales was directly in charge of
  all operational and development aspects for all
  campuses in Southern Mexico (9), including Mexico
  City. Under his direction, ITESM grew from zero
  to 29,500 students in Southern Mexico. Dr.
  Morales joined UVM in 2002, where he has been in
  charge of new program development and academic
  efficiency. Dr. Morales has a BS and MS in Civil
  Engineering and an Sc.D. in Environmental
  Engineering all from New Mexico State University.
• Manuel Campuzano (Director General) Mr.
  Campuzano joined UVM in 2005 to manage New
  Segment development. His experience in the
  education sector dates back to 1992 when he
  served as President of UNITEC for 10 years. Under
  his leadership, the university grew
  significantly, opening 3 new campuses. He served
  a term as President of the Board of FIMPES. After
  leaving UNITEC, he joined Apollo International
  working as advisor for projects in Mexico. Prior
  to entering the education sector, he worked at
  Grupo Cydsa (diversified industrials) in planning
  and international negotiations. Mr. Campuzano
  holds a BS in Engineering and an MA in management
  from the Tec de Monterrey
• Christian Ortega (Operations Director) Prior
  joining UVM in 2005, Mr. Ortega was the Chief
  Operating Officer of Laureate Educations AIEP in
  Chile since 2001. A Chilean national, Mr. Ortega
  was the CEO for Servicios Educacionales
  Integrales (a K-12 company in Chile) from 1992 to
  1996. During his 15-year career in education, he
  managed IT services for Universidad Andres Bello,
  launched a K-12 program in Chile, and oversaw
  significant enrollment growth during his tenure
  at AIEP. Mr. Ortega holds a BA in Engineering
  from the Universidad de Chile and an IT
  Administration Diploma from Universidad Católica
  de Chile.

• Felipe Diaz (General Director, Sales and
  Marketing) Brining a 30-year history in the
  field of Marketing and Brand Management, Mr. Diaz
  has been with UVM for 4 years. Prior to joining
  UVM, he served as Marketing and Programming
  Director for DirecTV Mexico and Vice President,
  Sales and Exports for Maizoro, the largest
  Mexican breakfast cereal company. He also has
  experience in brand management at Bimbo Corp, the
  largest bread maker in Mexico, Revlon Mexico,
  Sterling Drug, as well experience in advertising.
  Mr. Diaz holds a BS in Business Administration
  from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from
  the University of Colorado.
• Guadalupe Zuniga (Regional Rector, Mexico City
  Region) Ms. Zuniga has been with UVM since 1976
  in various positions such Vice President,
  Academic Chancellor at Campus Roma, Vice
  President at Campus Tlalpan, and UVM South
  Regional Rector. She has taught courses at UVM
  for over 30 years. As part of her commitment to
  the university and its community, she founded the
  Center for Education and Human Development which
  serves handicapped children from low income
  families. She is currently President of the UVM
  Mexico City Region with management responsibility
  for 6 campuses. She received a BA in Psychology
  from the UNAM and an MA in Education from UVM.
• Adriana Yague Rios (Rector, Toluca Campus) Ms.
  Rios began her career at UVM as Sponsorships
  Coordinator the Lomas Verdes campus and the
  Rectors Assistant. She was promoted to Director
  of Campus Public Relations where she worked on
  projects related to student services. As Director
  of Marketing at Lomas Verdes, she worked to
  increase enrollment at one of UVMs largest
  campuses. In 2004, she was promoted to Rector of
  Toluca Campus. Ms. Rios received her BA in Public
  Relations from UVM (Lomas Verdes campus) and is
  currently working on an MBA with specialization
  in Strategic Marketing.

• William Dennis (Vice President of Latin America
  Operations) Mr. Dennis joined Laureate in
  October, 2001. As president of Latin America
  operations, Mr. Dennis is leading the rapid
  growth and successful expansion of the companys
  campus-based universities in Mexico, Chile and
  other markets in Central and South America.
  Before he was appointed to his current role, Mr.
  Dennis served as COO/CFO of the company's
  campus-based operations from late 2001 until
  mid-2003. Prior to joining Laureate, Mr.
  Dennis was president and COO of International
  Assets Holding Corporation (IAAC), a financial
  securities brokerage firm specializing in
  international securities. Before that, he served
  as CFO of Freedom Securities, Inc., a
  Boston-based brokerage firm for which Mr. Dennis
  led a successful initial public offering in 1998.
  Other senior positions include that of CFO of
  Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, where he was
  responsible for financial activities in more than
  thirty countries, and a number of senior
  financial and management positions with Exxon
  Corporation. Mr. Dennis received an MBA degree
  from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of
  International Management, and a Bachelors degree
  from Texas Tech University.
• Luis Lopez (Vice President) Mr. López joined
  Laureate in April 2001 as part of the Latin
  American business team, with oversight for
  Business Development in the region and with
  particular emphasis on Mexico and Central
  America. He began his career at Laureate as the
  corporate country manager for Chile. Currently he
  serves as country coordinator for Mexico and
  Central America managing strategic and
  operational initiatives in the region.
• Prior to Laureate, Mr. López was AVP for
  Business Development at Aetna International,
  Inc., helping to create and manage its large
  Latin American portfolio, and worked in Aetnas
  employee benefits area as a healthcare
  consultant. He has also worked at FleetBoston as
  a portfolio manager in a number of its commercial
  credit markets. Mr. López holds an MBA from MITs
  Sloan School of Management and a BA from Brown
  University.

Senior Management Team - Laureate

• Rosemarie Mecca (Executive Vice President and
  Chief Financial Officer) Rosemarie Mecca was
  recently appointed Executive Vice President and
  Chief Financial Officer (effective October 1,
  2005) of Laureate Education. She is responsible
  for all aspects of the company's financial
  management and accounting functions, as well as
  for oversight of corporate financial strategy and
  planning.
• Prior to joining Laureate Education, Rosemarie
  Mecca held positions with primary
  responsibilities for finance, operations, and
  marketing in major divisions of large
  multinational corporations. Ms. Mecca started
  her career as a program manager with the National
  Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
  before joining Bendix Field Engineering as a
  Finance Manager in Columbia, Maryland. She held
  various leadership positions of increasing
  responsibility at Allied Signal and at Honeywell
  International (which acquired Allied Signal). At
  Allied Signal, she became the Chief Financial
  Officer of the 5 billion Aerospace division.
  Prior to joining Shell Chemicals as Executive
  Vice President, Business Systems, she was Vice
  President and General Manager of Honeywell's 600
  million Hardware Products Group. Ms. Mecca
  received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and
  Finance and a Master's Degree in Financial
  Management from The Catholic University of
  America in Washington, D.C.
