- NABWU exists to promote unity in Christ to
strengthen the ministries of the member bodies
to share gifts and resources and to minister to
the spiritual, physical, emotional, and economic
needs of women.
4 North American Baptist Womens Union
- Is part of the Womens Department of the Baptist
World Alliance who publish the Prayer Program
- Consists of Baptist women from the United States,
Canada Guyana - Encourages participation in the Baptist Womens
World Day of Prayer - Adopts projects to enable, empower and enrich the
lives of women - Promotes leadership and shares prayer partners
- Keeps women informed through The Tie and our
website -
5 North American Baptist Womens Union
- Women gathered together around the world to pray
and give. NABWU collectively supported the
following - Help youth develop leadership through Christian
mission work. Leadership Development, Milton, VT
- Provided food cost for temporary residential home
for refugees as they assist with the immigration
process and integration into the community.
Matthew House, Windsor, Ontario - Support a ministry designed for children who have
a parent in prison. Includes summer camping and
after school mentoring. Angel Tree Camp,
Harrisburg, PA -

- Supply equipment and furniture for expanded
facility Little Missionary Daycare/Play Group,
Demerara, Guyana - Christian Womens Job Corp (CWJC)
- Assist with computer equipment provide fund for
child care, transportation and trained workers.
Trenton, TN - Help sponsor a 10 week session for job and life
skills. Wichita Falls, TX - Provide funds for courses on Bookkeeping Basics
and Financial Integrity at Work. Tyler, TX -

- Provide training event for women offering
encouragement, life and job skills and a meal for
participants. Crofton, KY - Assist with upgrade of computer lab. Deridder,
LA - Help provide job and life skills to 10
participants and match them with a mentor. New
Goshen, IN -

- Baptist World Alliance Womens Department
- Provide economic empowerment for sustainable
livelihood for poor women. Build self esteem.
Promote gainful employment in agriculture and
micro-enterprises. Project Vineyard Nigeria - Teach women modern techniques of farming and
animal breeding Teach uneducated women to read
and write. Improve living conditions of families
by equipping women through needlework workshops
and soap and bread making. Womens Development

- Provide church based program for rehabilitation
and reintegration of mothers and girls. Provide
vocational skills training and counseling for
excombatants, orphans or abandoned children.

- It is our prayer that we will see many women
gather together to pray and to give generously
from their hearts. Pray with us that we will
increase our contributions collectively by 20. -
