Welcome to the 8th grade Honors SS Class!
  • Objectives on board everyday for class review
  • Clinic-please make arrangements for clinic a day
    in advance clinic times-Thurs. after school
    until 330, Friday during R/A period in library.
  • Home Work will be listed on board daily to be
    copied into the student planner. Average of
    about 3 per week-mostly reading and self review
  • If absent check with me or Mr. Bressi for hand
    outs missed.

  • One of the most important parts about work
    completed at home is visual appearance. If I can
    not read it, it is a zero!
  • HW is due on the due date no late assignments
    will be accepted. Long term assignments like
    papers or projects will be accepted late but will
    have 5pts deducted for each day late and no extra
    credit can be earned.
  • A stamp sheet will be used to maintain HW
    grade-if student looses this, their grade is a 0.
    First mp of HW X 1 points. EX 5 X 1 5.
    Second MP X2 and so on. Ex 5 X 2 10

Creative opportunity for Honors!
  • Penn CORD is a program developed by Ms. Rendell
    to aide PA educators to challenge and enrich
    students. Check out their web site and
    competition http//www.penncord.org/http//www.pe
    nncord.org/
  • First prize winners will receive 2,000 for
    themselves and 1,000 for their school, as well
    as a trip to Harrisburg to see our state
    government in action or to Philadelphia to visit
    the National Constitution Center - both include
    lunch with the Governor and First Lady. Winners
    will also have the chance to see their video
    broadcast on the Comcast Cable Network and an
    appearance on the Comcast Newsmakers program with
    Judge Marjorie O. Rendell. Runners-up will
    receive 1,000 for themselves and 500 for their
    school. The top twenty videos will be aired on
    Comcast Local Video On-Demand.
