LGBT Young People Housing

• 40,000 young people made homeless every year
  (2,400-4,800 LGBT?)
• 70,000 children/young people looked after on any
  given day in UK
• 10,000 shortfall in foster carers across UK
• Low level of LGBT specific/friendly housing
  services nationally
• 14yrs more likely to be placed in childrens
  home
• 3x more likely to attempt suicide
• 2½x more likely to self harm
• 5x more likely to be medicated for depression
• Limited recording of need research into need
