- Pincey Valley grew out of our need to find
larger landscape scale projects - We identified several potential landscape scale
projects and have progressed this one -

delivery with landowner - Massive wildlife, landscape and public benefit

businesses funding to deliver a successful
project meeting county, regional and national
objectives - Delivering excellent value for money

achieve this

- Take forward the Essex Biodiversity Action Plan
(EBAP) - We offer a complete biodiversity service aimed
primarily at local authorities, parish councils
and community groups, but where there are wider
benefits we include businesses and private
landowners - Deliver benefits for wildlife and people
throughout Essex

- Offer ecological and habitat mangement advice
- Kickstart projects
- Project manage habitat work
- Provide funding from our project budget
- Draw in additional funding
- Help public bodies fulfil their biodiversity duty
under the NERC Act

- Raising the profile of biodiversity and
benefiting our partners by raising their media
profile and generating good publicity

- We are the hub of communication and biodiversity
information in the county - We link local actions with the region and

14- Not easy - we dont own or control any land
but lots of sites need our input huge amount of
enthusiasm in Essex to get things done - Two staff with 17 years joint experience of
conservation work in Essex - Have a budget of 20K annually to spend on
projects and match fund partners - Great network we can draw on the expertise and
resources of the organisations in the steering
group and the partnership

- wherever the opportunity arises and
