  victory in the world
• The 7th seal is unveiled as seven trumpets
• The 7th trumpet is unveiled as 7 vials

• Each group of 7 enhances and explains the
  previous group

THE FINALITY OF THE VIALSV1

• Last plagues
• Gods wrath upon the world filled up or complete
• The trumpets herald a judgement upon a portion of
  humanity ( 3rd part) whereas these plagues will
  be visited upon all those who worship the image
  of the beast

• Sea of glass mingled with fire
• Emblem of the justice and wrath of God
• Here the sea has fire because judgement is the
  principle feature of Gods nature in this passage

• Carry the harps of God representing joy

• Moses
• Reminder of the Red Sea victory. The same God
  who defeated Pharaoh, an early type of the
  antichrist had given these people victory.

• Lamb
• Victory is only obtained through the lamb and His
  cross work

• The Content
• Exalts the Lord for all his ways
• Humbling of self before the Lord
• Ascribing all victory unto the Lord
• All sacred music ought to have content of this
  nature

• The Temple
• Represents the place of Gods holy presence
• The temple opened only for the purpose of wrath
• Man cannot enter until the vials are emptied
  because at the end of time this is the single
  minded purpose of the Almighty
• Nothing will hinder the Lords righteous dealing
  with sin

• Their Appearance
• White linen representing Gods purity
• Golden girdle representing the priesthood of
  Christ

• Received from one of the beasts
• They represent Gods sovereign work of creation
• Creation marred by sin demands that God punish
  the sin of humanity
• Romans 821,22

• THE VIALS POURED OUT

VIALS ONE TO FOURv1-9

• Relate to curses being placed upon the physical
  world
• In this they mirror the first four trumpets
  except the severity will be greater

• The earth cursed
• The sea cursed
• The rivers and lakes cursed
• The sun cursed
• Even today we can see foreshadowing of these
  terrible events particularly in the thinning of
  the ozone layer and climate change

• The area around the river Euphrates affected
  which corresponds to modern Iraq
• This mirrors the great army unleashed at the
  sounding of the 6th trumpet, 614
• The way is prepared for the assembling of a great
  army at Armageddon
• This battle will be devil inspired judging by the
  spirits unleashed by the dragon, beast and false
  prophet
• This battle will occur on the eve of Christs
  return
• V15 intimates that there will be believers on the
  earth at this time

• ARMAGEDDON
• Various views
• Literal battle between the antichrist and Israel
• Literal battle between the Christian nations and
  the pagan nations
• Symbolical of the battle between the church and
  Satan in every age

• Consistency requires that we take the battle
  literally
• It represents a devil inspired final assault upon
  the church immediately prior to the return of
  Christ
• This may well be focused upon Israel who will
  come to Christ before the end

• Why Armageddon?
• Place of various Old Testament battles which
  represent the age old struggle between Satan and
  God
• 2 Kings 2329,30 and Judges 519

• Final end of all things, It is done
• Collapse of the present order of things
• Babylon, the centre of the beasts empire
  collapses
• Once again we are brought face to face with the
  last great judgement
• Note the way men blaspheme God and will not
  repent despite their pains
• In this they mirror the reaction of Pharaoh to
  the Egyptian plagues
