ISPA AWARDS

• J.B. STROUD Lifetime Achievement Award
• Nominate a SP who has had a positive effect on
  children, parents, and colleagues. The nominee
  must have 10 years of experience as a school
  psychologist
• Jeff Grimes Distinguished Service Award
• Nominate an educator who has been an outstanding
  advocate for children.
• Laura Clark Student of the Year Award
• Nominate an outstanding student from UNI or U of
  I. The nominee must be a student at the time of
  the nomination.
• Nominations due no later than 9-15-05 via E-mail

J. B. Stroud Award

• The nominee does not have to be a member of ISPA,
  but must be or have been a certified/licensed
  school psychologist for at least 10 years, with a
  minimum of 4 years of direct experience with
  children.
• The portfolio for the nominee must contain an
  updated vitae which covers these 5 areas
  research, direct service, indirect service,
  supervision and/or consultation, and leadership
  in school psychology.
• The portfolio must also contain 5 letters of
  support a minimum of 2 from school
  psychologists. The other three may be from other
  professionals who are familiar with the
  psychologists work. The support letters must
  cover the same 5 areas as above research, direct
  service, indirect service, supervision and/or
  consultation, and leadership in school
  psychology.

Laura Clark Student of the Year Award

• The nominee must be a student at the University
  of Iowa of the University of Northern Iowa at the
  time of nomination.
• The portfolio for the nominee must contain a
  completed Student Award Nomination form, the
  students vitae, a copy of a sample psychological
  assessment or intervention report (maximum 5
  pages) and the students response to the 2004
  question (maximum 1 page).

Jeff Grimes Distinguished Service Award

• The nominee must be an educator who has at least
  5 years of experience providing services to
  children and who has exhibited
• advocacy for children that goes beyond his or
  her job description.
• The portfolio for the nominee must contain an
  updated vitae which covers these areas direct
  and indirect services to children and advocacy
  efforts.
• The portfolio must also contain a minimum of 2
  letters of support that describe the advocacy
  efforts of the nominee. One letter must be from a
  school psychologist and one from another
  educational professional.
