Abstract
  • A well managed class is the result of the
    teachers and the students teaming for success in
    the physical education classroom.
  • In this session, participants will focus on the
    how to strategies of effective class management
    through the use of activities and games,
    culminating in a game of Parachute Beachball
    bumper ball!

  • The critical link in meeting this NASPE goal is
    in the skill of preparing all students for these
    learning experiences.
  • A well-managed class is the result of the
    teachers and the students teaming for success in
    the physical education classroom. It is very
    important that both the teachers and the students
    know and accept the responsibilities important in
    the teaching/learning setting.

  • A positive physical education teaching experience
    is the direct result of teachers offering a
    developmentally appropriate curriculum. This
    curriculums design is based on using NASPEs six
    content standards as the curricular focus.
  • Paramount to the success of this approach to
    learning is three-fold 1) understanding the
    characteristics of your learners 2) utilizing
    effective class management skills, and 3)
    designing and implementing a preventative
    approach to discipline.

    how to strategies of effective class
    management.
  • Management styles will be presented utilizing
    many skills from NASPEs six content standards.
  • This session will be action packet, culminating
    in a closure activities of folk dance parachute
    play and Beachball-bumper ball, a
    throwing/catching/striking parachute activity
    designed by grades One, Two, and Three.
