Conditions for using ICF in Norway
  • Be adapted to the organisation of the national
    Health and Social Services
  • The services for disabled people are based on the
    principles of integration and decentralisation.
  • A national plan for rehabilitation will be
    presented at the end of 2005.
  • ICF is a valuable language to communicate between
    professional people, Health and Social services
    authorities and organisations
  • International communication

HISTORY OF ICF IN NORWAY
  • ICIDH was not in use in Norway
  • May 2001 WHOs General Assembly approved ICF
  • October 2001 Decision to translate ICF into
    Norwegian
  • May 2003 Translation and back- translation of
    short and full version finished
