• NB The syllabus is accessible only through my
  webpage, and can only be viewed by modem-operated
  computers, or on on-campus computers. For that
  reason, I have printed a syllabus for each of
  you. If you lose it, however, you will need to
  reprint it yourself.

Rules for You and Me

• For You
• Guest speakers have been invited to our class.
  Please take extra care to show up ON TIME when we
  have guests coming.
• Special dispensations are special. Late papers,
  absences on test days, etc. will require
  documentation. Absences for the two written
  assignments CANNOT be made up.
• If you have a medical condition, or any other
  condition that could potentially affect classroom
  management or your learning, please let me know
  ASAP.

For Me

• I will always have your papers handed back to you
  within two weeks of being handed in.
• I will always be available for discussions with
  you about your grade, by email or in person (if
  you contact me first).
• I will do whatever is reasonable to accommodate
  your learning needs.

Why the Photographs?

• Because there are 140 of you, I need photos to
  learn your names. This is important to me, as it
  makes your experience at KU a little less
  anonymous.
• Please assist in this effort by not wearing hats
  in class and sitting in approximately the same
  location for the first month or so. Thanks!
