What is the Lafayette Crisis Center?

• Crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and
  information and referral

• Available by phone or in person 24 hours a day,

Scheduling of Hotline Volunteers

• 90 volunteers
• Tedious and Slow
• Not as optimized as a computer could

Guidelines and Needs

• Four 4-hr slots One 8-hr slot per day
• One volunteer per slot
• Volunteer preferences taken into account

• Visual Basic GUI is simple and quick
• Secure login and password recall (VB feature)
• Month and Week views (Slightly different
  administrator and user views)
• Multi dimensional array model for preference
  storing and actual scheduling
