  • HiRISE is a Hi-resolution camera capable of of

  • CTX will provide a wide over view to help
    scientist piece information together
  • CRISM will be used to identify mineral
    especially those that form in the presence of
    water

  • MARCI will observe mars in 5 visible and 2
    ultraviolet wavelengths in order to characterize
    weather
  • MCS will be used to observe the atmospheric
    makeup
  • SHARAD will be used to search for water beneath
    the Martian crust

Follow on Mission
  • After the Orbiter finishes it science mission
    provide a communication link
  • For Landers who may be on the opposite side of
    Mars
  • Will also provide precise timing for landers
  • Navigation
  • Will aid approaching space craft
