Steps to Successful Stakeholder Involvement
  • Identify key stakeholders
  • Identify how to communicate with them or involve
    them
  • Set up a stakeholder involvement process that
    will help you achieve your goal

Identify Key Stakeholders
  • What is our goal? Obtaining an approved UAA
    LTCP
  • Who could have either a positive or negative
    impact on our overall goal?
  • Opinion leaders (neighborhood, environmental,
    clergy, business community)
  • Industry (CEOs environmental managers)
  • City-County Councillors state legislators
  • Regulatory agency management staff
  • News media
  • Third-party spokespersons (academia, parks
    department, other city departments)
