Democritus
Democritus suggested that everything was made of
atoms, and that atoms cannot be divided.

John Dalton
In 1800 John Dalton as well as the Greeks
thought everything was made up of atoms that were
shaped like a round ball.

J.J Thompson
In 1897 J.J Thompson believed that electrons were
found inside solid atoms.

Ernest Rutherford
In 1900 Ernest Rutherford believed that it looked
like a tiny solar system with protons in the
nucleus surrounded by electrons.

Niels Bohr
In 1913 Niels Bohr shows electrons around at
different levels the atoms nucleus.

James Chadwick
In 1932 James Chadwick thought by adding neutrons
to the nucleus next to protons, the model of the
atom seemed to be complete.
