The IB Diploma Program is the most challenging
curriculum offered at St. Pauls and prepares
students to be highly successful in college.
Students who are considering taking the diploma
program should also pay particular attention to
the admonition to do well.

The IB Diploma Program

• Is a demanding two-year pre-university program
  taught over Grades 11 and 12
• Students must take the same 6 courses for 2 years

• English, a foreign language course, a social
  science course, a science course, and a math
  course
• 3 courses are taken at Higher Level and 3 courses
  are taken at Standard Level

To Earn the IB Diploma

• Take six courses and complete all IB assessments
• Complete Extended Essay, TOK, and CAS
• Grading scale is 1-7 and is a combination of
  marks for external and internal assessments
• Accumulate at least 24 points total to receive
  the diploma

• February 12 in homeroom, all 10th grade students
  fill out a form listing the courses they hope to
  take in 11th grade
• February-March meetings with Mr. Thorpe or
  advisor for parents and/or students who would
  like further information about the course signup
  process
