Where there is no vision, the people perish

"Leadership begins with a clear vision. There
are two aspects of leadership--a visionary role
(doing the right thing) and an implementation
role (doing things right). A vision is a picture
of the future that produces passion, and it's
this passion that I and other people want to
follow. An organization without clear vision is
like a river without banks--it stagnates and goes
nowhere. Leadership by the Book, Ken Blanchard

I have a great feeling for this School of
Management. I think it is prophetic in its
origin. I think it is essential to the growth of
the kingdom of God here on earth. . .Leadership
skills are desperately needed in the world in
which we live. . .I think that one of the key
ingredients in helping to build and develop
leadership was the establishment of Brigham Young
University, and particularly the School of
Management which has a divine purpose to develop
leaders, leaders who are able to stand with
courage and declare what they believe to be true
and right. . .Elder L. Tom Perry
