  • The TRIO and Other EOP Standards and Guidelines
    are a set of standards of good practice that are
    achievable by all TRIO and EOP Programs
  • 30 sets of functional area standards guidelines
    (includes TRIO since 1999)
  • 1 set of Masters Level Standards for Academic
    Preparation Programs
  • Founded in 1979
  • Consortium of 35 higher education associations
  • Many colleges use the CAS functional area
    standards (such as advising, counseling,
    admissions, international programs, financial
    aid, judicial officers, student unions, commuter
    programs, learning centers, housing)
