from 33 countries worldwide.

Basic consideration
The professional training as professional
driver which means a qualified employee gives
the best basis to do the job. The professional
training should remain, be further developed and
be seen as the best option to improve road safety.

Obtaining the initial qualification
Preferred option pass the professional
apprenticeship and attain the professional
competence exam as professional driver and be a
qualified employee (Certificate of completion of
an apprenticeship)?

Obtaining the initial qualification
The alternative to the apprenticeship is the
theoretical and practical training followed by
the test. That is the conviction of the experts
of the CIECA members.

Periodic training

recommends the equal validity of driving licence
and CPC certificate.

Certification of training
The harmonised Community code and the codes
expiry date can be affixed to the driving
licence. It is not necessary to develop a new
driver qualification certificate.

Harmonised specification of periodic training
It is necessary to define an European level for
the periodic training to avoid Further education
tourism. Cheap special offers of periodic
training destroy the goal of the European
Commission to strengthen road safety and
transport quality

Exam by defined test procedure with equal subject
fields and equal complexity factor in all member
states
