  just over 58 million people.
• Their capital is Rome and the largest city with
  2.5 million people.
• Around 67 of people live in Urban Places.

Religion

• Nearly all of the Italians are Roman Catholic.
• Some of the Catholics are finding other ways to
  worship.
• But they are all free to worship what ever
  religion they want.

Appearance

• The Italians try to look their best in their
  appearances.
• They will get dressed up for simple occasions
  like an afternoon walk, or visiting someone.
• It is uncommon for Italians to wear worn out,
  torn, or sloppy clothes.

Greetings

• Men and women greet each other by shaking hands.
• If someones hand is dirty they might offer a
  finger or forearm.
• Friends greet each other by hugging or kissing on
  both cheeks.

Proper Ways To Eat

• While eating Italians usually eat with the fork
  in the left hand and the knife in the right hand.
• If hands are placed in your lap, it is considered
  improper.
• And when eating with a guest a meal could last up
  to 1 to 4 hours.
• Things like burping are very offensive to other
  people.

Dating and Marriage

• They usually go dating in groups or as couples.
• Around 26 for a women and 29 for a man, they will
  probably get married.
• It is rare for a man to get married before he is
  done with his education.

Government

• The republic is spilt in twenty regions, which
  divides even farther.
• In senatorial elections you have to be 25, but
  only 18 for the other elections.
• Italy's president is Carlo Azeglio and their
  prime minister is Silvio Berlusconi.

Food

• For breakfast Italians have a cup of coffee or
  cappuccino, a creamed filled croissant and bread
  with jam or honey.
• They enjoy eating pasta, pizza, meat, vegetables,
  and fish.
• Their favorite meats are lamb, veal, and beef.

• The flag of Italy was adopted on the 19th of June
  1946.
• It has three stripes in order from left to right
