Data Classification Steps
  • Collect and shuffle all data pages from a
    target.
  • Sequentially ask of each response What
    category name does this fit? Write the name
    on a guidecard to create the category . . file
    alphabetically with data page behind the
    guidecard.
  • Go through entire data pages, creating new
    categories or adding pages to matching ones you
    have created.
  • Next ask Which categories can be combined into
    a smaller number of super-categories? Do it,
    keeping pages assigned to their categories.
  • Prioritize super-categories to be report/manual
    section
  • titles convert ideas recommendations
    to narrative edit and smooth for the final
    product.

  • You write in response to a Target.
  • You write independently (no discussion).
  • Write only one idea per data page, for the
