• Limited reference to on going social protection
  policies, programmes and interventions in Africa
  Example, Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Tanzania, Chad,
  Tunisia
• Lack of opportunity to visit indicators in
  existing strategies for synergy and
  compatibility.
• Duplication of indicators.
• Visibility needed for disabilities.

  measure all indicators

• -Age (Life Cycle)
• -Locality
• -Occupational grouping

ENGENDERING GOAL 1

• population in informal sector by sex and

• Ownership of agricultural land by sex
• Access to extension services by sex

• Proportion of pregnant women with aneamia to be
  moved to Goal 5

ENGENDERING GOAL 2

• Proposals are generally comprehensive
• However an additional indicator for consideration
  could be of children registered at birth by sex
  and locality.

• Remove all education issues to Goal 2 for
  consistency
• Critical economic empowerment issues would have
  been tacked by Goal 1
• Goal 3 should therefore deal with human rights
  and political participation only.
• All proposals agreeable except the indicator on
  child bearing Goal 5

• Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls and
  Promote Equal Participation of Women in Decision
  Making.
