At Piedmont Health Services, we are committed to
protecting the health of our employees and the
patients that we serve.The following
immunizations are required for all employees
working at Piedmont Health Services. Any
immunizations we require you to have will be
administered at no cost to you.

Tuberculosis
  • Yearly TB Skin test is required. If your current
    test is older than July 1st, you will need
    another test upon employment.
  • If you have ever had a positive skin test, please
    bring in a copy of your TB Screening chest x-ray
    or you will be referred for a chest x-ray at PHS
    expense.

Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis B is required for all employees who
    have exposure to blood and body fluid. You will
    be required to have a 3-shot series of HepB and a
    titer (blood work that measures your level of
    immunity after the vaccine series is completed).
    If your titer shows non-immune, the HepB series
    will be repeated and another titer drawn.
  • NOTE If you choose not to have a 3-shot series,
    you will be required to sign a Declination
    Statement after counseling with an Employee
    Health Provider.

MMR
  • If you were born after 1957, we
  • require 2 documented vaccines for
    Measles/Mumps/Rubella.
  • For individuals born prior to 1957,
  • we recommend you have one
  • documented vaccine.

Varicella
  • You are required to have documentation of a
    two-shot Varicella (Chickenpox) series or lab
    immunity. Even if you think you have had
    Chickenpox in the past, we will draw a blood
    titer to make sure of your immunity.

Tetanus
  • You must get a Td vaccination every 10 years. One
    of those Tds must have been a Tdap (Tetanus and
    Pertussis). If you have not received a Tdap as
    an adult, it is highly recommended if it has been
    greater than two years since your last Td.

Influenza
  • We offer the Influenza vaccine to employees each
    year (at our expense). If you choose not to have
    it, you will need to sign a Declination Statement.

Important Notice for Women...
  • If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant,
    please notify the Employee Health Provider at
    your site, prior to receiving any vaccines. This
    is meant to protect you and your unborn child.
  • All health records are kept confidential.
