• Text Holes 11th ed.
• Other required materials-CLICKERS should be
  purchased from the bookstore by FRIDAY January
  16.
• We will be using these daily for roll call and
  quiz points
• Class meets from 1100-1150 MWF
• Please sit in the same seat every class meeting

Lecture info

• Lectures will consist of power point slides and
  sometimes overhead projector or smart board
  slides
• Students can download the power point slides
  ahead of time by going to http//www.clt.astate.ed
  u/jhuggins
• All notes, study guides, complete syllabus, and
  bonus homework assignments will be posted on that
  web site.

EXAM info

• There will be 4 lecture exams worth 100 points
  each given on scantron sheet (bring a pencil and
  your ASU ID)
• There will be 1 comprehensive final exam worth
  200 points
• There will be daily quizzes given using your
  clickers. The points and number of questions will
  vary, but these cant be made up if you miss
  them. This will be an addition 100 points.

Success

• Prior preparation prevents pitiful performance
• READ each chapter, recopy notes, attend class! Be
  organized!
• Send me questions if you have any problems or see
  me during office hours for extra help
• Attend lab! (if you are registered for one)
• MOTIVATION is the key. You can do anything if
  you are willing to work hard!

Make up policy

• Make ups will be allowed with written
  documentation (a good excuse)
• If you fail to show up for your make up test
  without contacting me to reschedule, you DO NOT
  GET TO RETAKE IT!
• This goes for lab too!
• No make ups for daily quiz grades
• Late homework, etc will NOT be accepted.

Classroom etiquette

• Be on time for class and remain the entire time
• I dismiss class when it is time
• DO NOT use your cell phone, iPod, etc in class.
  Be sure your computer is on the web page we are
  using in class
• No loud talking, it is annoying to the people
  sitting near you.

• If you have registered with ASU disability
  services, they will have given you a card
• Bring me a copy of this card and we will discuss
  your needs
