• The School Board of Palm Beach County is
  committed to excellence in education and
  preparation of all of our students with the

  children
• The parent is the central contributor to a

• Parent involvement must be a legitimate element
  in education.
• Parents interaction with their own children is
  the cornerstone of involvement.

• The School Advisory Council (SAC) includes
  parents, teachers, students, educational support
  staff, business, and community members who
  participate in the schools planning and
  decision-making process to meet the educational
  needs of all students.

• Review school data and write school improvement
  objectives that reflect the needs of the school.
• Offer recommendations and commendations.
• Lead the way in assisting schools by making
  informed and appropriate decisions.
• Engage your skills at SAC meetings once a month
  during the school year.

• Examine all aspects of the School Improvement
  Plan (SIP).
• Analyze data and make plans accordingly.

• Help to recruit and retain SAC members.
