by deleting the italicized text in brackets and
adding the bold, underlined text shown
belowSection 3. Determination of Membership
Dues and Obligation to Pay. Membership in the
Association carries a definite obligation to pay
any membership dues and assessments established
by the board. The board shall fix the amount of
membership dues and/or assessments (if any) for
all membership classes each year under the
following limitations a) dues may not be
increased at any one time by more than 12 of the
current dues and b) dues may not be increased
more than once in a three year time period. and
reserves the right to increase the membership
dues once every three years.

NOTE All previous dues increases were voted on
and approved by members. The pending dues
restructuring marks the first time in SLA history
that Board action has resulted in the raising of
dues (for members earning gt35,000).
