Title: Futures Unlimited

1
Futures Unlimited
  • The Future of Health Rehabilitation

2
The Beginning
  • Our therapies are derived from the unique and
wonderful mind of Edward A. Snapp jr. Ed was
frustrated with traditional methods years before
there was any Alternative available in the
mainstream thoughts. His efforts with his
patients led him to understand that there was
something missing from the modalities of Physical
Therapy. He began to seek answers.

3
Patterning
  • Ed met two gentlemen by the names of Doman
Delicato. These men were using crawling patterns
that babies use to learn to walk to enhance
    coordination, perception, learning and function
in children adults with disabilities. Ed knew
then that there was so much more possible. If
    these functional patterns contained useful
    updateable information, then pre-natal patterns
would contain mass amounts of usable data as
    well.

4
CCDT
  • Chronologically Controlled Developmental Therapy
was created when Ed realized that he was seeing
similar developmental patterns in his patients
    that experienced muscle spasticity
contractures. He noted that it appeared that
these patients were trying to curl up into the
fetal position. He placed them in a tight bundle
and lay next to them in the dark. To his surprise
they were less spastic after he removed them from
this posture. Being in a dark, warm space in the
fetal position allowed this phenomenal response
to occur to the nervous system. This was in
    1960s

5
Building A Foundation
  • Through his steady and patient research of his
own clients, Ed Snapp was capable of sequencing
the patterns of spasticity that he noted of
various clients. Within this sequence he noted
muscle responses, reflexes and muscle failures
that were consistent with prenatal developmental
function. This is a major key to success in
recovery for patients. We know how!

6
Major Modalities Used
  • Massage Therapy
  • Hydro Therapy
  • Sensory Integration
  • Q If we are utilizing concepts already
available, then how is this different?
  • A Our methods are specifically matched to the
sequence of developmental trauma that each
    individual experiences.

7
What else is different?
  • Controlled and specific environment.
  • Passive techniques that are soothing.
  • The client can sleep throughout the day.
  • There is no mental pressure on the client.
  • Function returns without practice.
  • Individuals relax during the session.
  • Clients may look forward to their return.

Improving Lives
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spinal Cord injury
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Post Polio Syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Parkinsons Disease
  • Scoliosis
  • Autism
  • Developmental Delay
  • ADD ADHD
  • Behavioral Disorders
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Coordination Failure

9
Futures Goals for you.
  • Improve Lives Naturally
  • Give Hope to Those Who have little
  • Remove Plateaus from the Recovery Process
  • Promote Independence
  • Encourage Wellbeing
  • Educate the Public
  • Bring Care Back Into Healthcare
  • Provide Resources for Those Seeking Help

10
Realizing the Possibilities
11
When You See ItYou Will Understand
  • Any Neurological Disability that is not a product
of severe nervous tissue damage may be enhanced
or corrected with the methods based on this
    theory. Developmental, Neurological and Traumatic
Disabilities all fall into this category. God has
given us the recovery complex that allows us to
be updated like a computer, using Genetic Memory,
that is stored in the DNA.
  • Each Person has ability to recover from trauma.
