Specific Conditions and Purpose

• Simulations are performed on a remote 32-bit
  Linux server with RHE 3.0 running IC-CAP with
  Spectre ver. 5.141 and SimKit 2.3
• Considered are typical DC and AC simulations in
  voltage or frequency sweeps used for model
  parameter extraction
• Densities of the bias points are significantly
  increased to produce measurable delay from the
  simulations
• Comparisons are made between BSIM4 implementation
  in Spectre and quasi-static global PSP101 in
  SimKit 2.3 with swjuncap1
• Model parameters are for the 90 nm IBM process
  published on the CMC web site with modifications
  of the PSP100 model names to enable using the
  PSP101 model the differences from this
  translation are not essential for the scope of
  this report
• This is a mere comparison of the simulation
  speeds that an average modeling engineer in
  average conditions may encounter during model
  parameter extraction for Ccoded PSP101
