State Federal Expectations for Digital Age
Skills of Students
  • No Child Left Behind requires that students
    are technology literate by the eighth grade.
    Integrating TA TEKS into instruction will help us
    meet this requirement.
  • SBEC has approved educator certification
    standards in Technology Applications for all
    educators, which are based on the TA TEKS.
    Standards I-IV deal with teachers technology
    skills. Standard V deals with teachers
    integration of technology into their
    teachingAll teachers know how to plan,
    organize, deliver, and evaluate instruction for
    all students that incorporates the effective use
    of current technology for teaching and
    integrating the Technology Applications Texas
    Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) into the
    curriculum.
