• Used of gatherings of people called out for any
  purpose. Ill. Of mob called together to
  persecute Christians. Acts 1932
• The word was intended to picture for us a close
  community of people devoted to Christ who came
  together to build each other up.
• The plan was for fellowship to be real. Acts 242

CULTURE AND CHRIST

• Challenge is always there that we tend to allow
  our culture to creep into the church. Mold the
  church after our image instead of us in Christ
  image.

• Meet once or twice a week to study.

• Dont be satisfied with being one of the many,
  hidden in nameless crowd.
• Need to be a part of a small circle of Christian
  friends who know each other well and help one
  another grow.
• Cant know every person in church.
• Everyone can know a circle of friends and grow
  together in sharing your lives for God.
