Additional courses proposed - no funding
organization yet
  • UNI Apro is planning/considering conducting GEP
type courses for the other SAARC countries
    namely
  • Nepal
  • Bangladesh
  • Colombo
  • We are also looking forward in having a Chinese
(Mandarin) language GEP in Taiwan this year
participated by trade unions in Malaysia,
Singapore, Hong Kong and possibly Japan.

12
  • The GEP has been one of the most successful
gender training courses where past participants
has successfully build a stronger team of women
    trade union organizers and educators.
  • Increased in women principle leaders at the
National level is contributed to the GEP.
  • Funding is limited thus the design of the program
where each participants must do an organizing
project work where they would require to
implement it thus building a bigger pool of women
    activists.

13
  • The GEP will aim to train more potential women
leaders to take up leadership positions in their
    trade unions.
  • Trade Union will be encouraged to provide further
opportunities and exposures to the participants
on issues pertaining to their industry,
attendance to the regional sectoral meetings and
    regional conferences.
  • The participants will be forwarded periodically
with news from UNI Apro Women Committee,
including a copy of the minutes of our meetings.
