What is their duty to God?

• Purposes of the Aaronic Priesthood
• 1. Become converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ
  and live its teachings.
• 2. Serve faithfully in priesthood callings, and
  fulfill the responsibilities of priesthood
  offices.
• 3. Give meaningful service.
• 4. Prepare and live worthily to receive the
  Melchizedek Priesthood and temple ordinances.
• 5. Prepare to serve an honorable full-time
  mission.
• 6. Obtain as much education as possible.
• 7. Prepare to become a worthy husband and father.
• 8. Give proper respect to women, girls, and
  children.

Activity b Venturing

• Purpose of Venturing
• Provide experiences to impact on the positive
  development of youth at a critical stage in their
  lives and to prepare them to become responsible
  and caring adults.
• Goals of Venturing
• Gain practical experiences in a special interest,
  a skill, or leadership.
• Engage in a program of activities centered on
  Venturing (6 experience areas).
• Experience positive leadership from adults and
  youth be given leadership roles/ resps.
• Learn and grow in caring envt.

• Bronze, Gold, and Silver Awards

• YM Pres Objective Preparing boys to become
  righteous men og God!
• Tailor each activity to meet a Duty to God
  objective, consequently hitting a Venturing award
  objective.
• Venturing is the activity arm helping the boys
  learn/live (earn) their Duty to God.

Note Priests who complete their Duty to God will
nearly have met the requirements for any or all
of the Bronze awards however, there will be
several simple requirements to finish prior to
completing and achieving one or all of the Bronze
awards.Venturers who have received the Outdoor
Bronze Award need complete only four more of the
core requirements and two more electives to
qualify for the Ranger Award.
