The SUM function

• Calculates the total of all the values listed in
  its arguments
• SUM(number1, number2, )

Entering a range reference

• Enter the equal sign, function name, and opening
  parenthesis
• Drag over the range for which you want to enter a
  reference
• Type the closing parenthesis and enter the
  function
