  • Poland is located in Central Europe.
  • Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany,
    Russia, Lithuania, Belarus are the neighboring
    countries of Poland.

Geographic Features of Poland.
  • It is located near the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Poland is on the Baltic Sea.
  • The North European Plain consists mostly of
    lowlands.
  • The Vistula, Neisse, and Oder which are in
    Poland, drain into the Baltic Sea.
  • The Beskid, Carpathian, and Sudeten mountains are
    on the southern border of Poland.

Geographic Features of Austria.
  • The Danube River is in the northeastern part of
    Austria and is where all Austrian territory
    drains into. It empties into both the
    Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.
  • The Austrian Alps are the backbone of this
    country, and in the south lie the Julian and
    Carnic Alps, while the hills of Moravia and
    Bohemia lie in the east.
  • The Black Sea and North Sea are in the northern
    part of Austria.
  • There is a wooded foothill area in Austria that
    has a portion of the Bohemian Massif.
  • The two largest lakes are Lake Constance is in
    the west and Neusiedler is in the eastern part of
    Austria.
