3Key Findings Challenges and Control
- Users access patterns are presenting increasing
levels of difficulty - 92 say users are requiring greater access to the
network at different times - 93 say that the network is increasingly having
to manage users with multiple Ids/profiles - 87 say these changes are placing new demands on
the network - The areas where these IT professionals have the
greatest concern with regards to control are - Non-standard applications - 45 not satisfied
with control - Non-user IP devices (printers, cameras etc) with
41 not satisfied . - Growth in unauthorized applications has gone up
by about 13 in the past 2 years

- Over next two years, 55 of US companies
expecting greater growth, and 44 of UK - The largest growers are also more likely to
increase the pace of LAN growth - However only 42 of businesses have sufficient
investment for IT to support their business goals
- 37 say that staffing levels have increased to
support LAN growth
