61Voice logging for security purposes
- The system can optionally record any call or
specific class of calls in a file within the
ST-510 - Software can choose calls that are to be
recorded. - The same software allows the system administrator
to search and playback a desired call using a
multimedia PC. A call to be played back can be
searched by various fields (user, date, time,
destination, length, etc)
62SITE TELEMETRY
- Aside from simplifying remote site linking
requirements, the SmarTrunk ST-100 Multiplexer
has several Digital and Analog I/Os which can be
connected to site monitoring transducers such as
offered by Zetron and others for remote site
monitoring.

66Operator assistance for lost calls
- If an incoming call can not be completed as
dialed, it can be set to automatically transfer
to an operator (at a radio, extension or dispatch
console) - The operator can then transfer the call to the
correct user.
67Call Queuing
- The call manager feature lets the system know
when a user tries to make a call while all
channels at a site are busy - An extra simplex channel with an ST-853 is
required - If a user cant access a free channel, the system
picks up the call request and builds a queue - When a channel is freed, the system sorts the
queue by priority and aging and completes the
call request from the next queued user - The call manager channel is automatically enabled
by the ST-510 when all channels are in use
68Call Manager
If channels are available the Call manager stays
on a sleep state and the mobiles never stop on
this frequency
69Call Manager
If all the channels are in use, the call manager
wakes up. If any radio tries to make a call,
this channel receives the inquiry and puts it in
a queue

71Networking
- A single ST-510 switch can control local and
remote sites - Multiple ST-510s can be added for increased
reliability and less inter-site link traffic.
Topology flexible - Flexible Network topologies increase linking
options - Multiple ST-510 sites require only one data bus
between all the network sites and only as many
audio links between sites as roaming traffic load
requires
