20DIRECT FREE KICK FOULS
If a direct free kick foul is called, play
restarts from where the foul occurred. If the
foul was committed by a defender within his/her
penalty area, then this direct free kick becomes
a penalty kick.
21INDIRECT FREE KICK OFFENSES
Other offenses are punished by restarting play
with an indirect free kick from where the offense
occurred. A goal can not be scored directly from
the kick. It must be touched by another player.

56Misconduct
- Only a player, sub, or substituted player may be
shown the red or yellow card. - No cards are to be shown to coaches or parents.
- The referee has the authority to take
disciplinary sanctions from the moment he enters
the field until he leaves the field of play after
the final whistle.

- The referee may only change a decision upon
realizing that it is incorrect or, at his
discretion, on the advice of an assistant
referee, provided that he has not restarted play
or terminated the match.

- 1 If a free kick is given to defenders inside
their penalty area, the ball is not in play until
it leaves the penalty area. All opponents must be
outside the penalty area when the kick is taken.

- 2 If an IFK is given to the attackers inside
the defenders goal area, the ball is placed on
the goal area line closest to where the foul or
misconduct occurred.

- 3 If a free kick is given to defenders inside

ground anywhere in the goal area.
