Push is on for fine music

• ARTS Mid North Coast has started the push for a
  regional conservatorium of music. It wants the
  Department of Education and Training to fund a
  centre for the Hastings, Taree, Great Lakes and
  Gloucester. Arts Mid North Coast CEO Richard
  Holloway believes it can be done with just over
  100,000.Until now fine music education has been
  left to private institutions.To cater for
  growing populations in the lower part of the Mid
  North Coast, and to provide a less exclusive
  avenue for musical development, Mr Holloway said
  a conservatorium was a necessity.
