Artist Statement

• Although I have always loved art, I never truly
  considered myself an artist because I never felt
  I was good enough to be considered one. In the
  past year I have learned what my strong points
  are and have started to concentrate on them and
  become better at what I excel in.
• What inspires me is music and I tend to listen
  to music while I am working on either an art
  project or my sketchbooks. Music opens my mind
  and helps me think of things I may have not
  thought about doing before. When I am starting an
  art project I usually take a few days to figure
  out what I am doing because I dont want to start
  something and in the middle of it decide that I
  dont like what I am doing, so I make sure that I
  know what I want to do and will be happy with the
  end result.
• A year ago I would not think that I was capable
  in doing something that I was proud to say I did.
  Although I still think I need some improvements
  in certain aspects, I do believe that I have
  grown as an artist. In the future I would like to
  continue to improve and one day maybe help design
  cover art for a musician or do collages that deal
  with a certain musician.
