Artist Statement

• Ever Since I was in Elementary school I knew art
  was something I really enjoyed. Even thought we
  only went to art class once a week, art day was
  always my favorite. Now that I am in high school
  I love art even more, and look forward to going
  to class every day.
• My school, Middle Creek has given me many great
  chances to improve, and try new techniques. I
  have learned how to use ink wash, mono-prints,
  and paint with oils. Everyday I look forward to
  the new things that I am going to learn, and be
  able to perfect.
• Eventually, I would love to become an art
  teacher, and teach kids everything that I have
  learned. I want to be able to attend a college
  with a great art program, so I can learn even
  more art techniques and how to teach art. As an
  artist I look forward to creating more art
  pieces, pursuing my passion, art.

Mono-Type Flowers

• I really enjoyed this project, It was the first
  Mono- Type project I had ever done. It won second
  place in the Women's Club Competition

Elongated Self Portrait

• This project was fun to work on. I enjoyed the
  fact that the portrait was elongated. I think
  that it does portray myself.

Mask

• The mask project was probably one of my favorite
  assignment in Art 2. I loved working with the
  paper mache. I choose a plain gold mask and
  decided to make it more girly, and me.

Calendar Art

• This was my black and white calendar project from
  2005. I used pen and ink for it. It made it into
  the Art Calendar.

Zebra

• This Project I really enjoyed and spent the most
  time that I have ever spent on a single project.

Road

• This painting was my very first oil painting that
  I had ever done, I enjoyed using a new medium.

Camellia

• This is Ink Wash painting of a flower I have in
  my yard. I really liked using the ink wash.

Block Print Zebra

• To try to get a natural look for the back ground
  of this project I used tea bags, and brushed them
  on my paper.

Self Portrait

• This was my first realistic self portrait I ever
  did.
• It is in oil paints, I am very happy with how it
  turned out.

My Bed

• This is my first watercolor piece.
• I did this so I could take to college and
  decorate my dorm, and have my bed at home with my
  dog, but with my sheets that I tie-dyed for
  collge on them

• This was my first life drawing.
• It is still in the works, and is not done yet.
