- HAZARDOUS TRANSPORTATION SECURITY POLICY TEAM
- Provide guidance concerning the safe and secure
transport of hazardous materials in commerce. - Implement transportation policy and ensure
compliance with applicable DOD, Federal, State,
Local and International regulations. - PUBLICATIONS AND RULES TEAM
- Update publications and implement new rules as
required. - Interpret publications and rules.

- Process shipper transportation requests.
- Ensure AAE, Classified and Sensitive items have
minimum Transportation Protective Service.

Note 1 SEV is required for all Army CAT II
shipments when pick up or drop-off is in FPCON
(C) locations (SEV is not required for USAF,
USMC, USN, CAT II shipments at FPCON Charlie.)
How ever, SEV is required for all Services CAT II
shipments at FPCON DELTA. Note 2 Above Examples
are not all-inclusive. Note 3 For shipments of
15 or fewer small arms CAT II through IV and M-16
rifles (to exclude M2.50 Caliber (12.7 mm)
machine guns and above) or 150 lbs or less of CAT
IV ammo, CIS may be used. Note 4 SNS is
optional NOTE DDP replaces CIS when mileage
exceeds 150 miles
8HOW TO ORDER A COPY OF FEDLOG
FED LOG is the logistics information system
published by the Defense Logistics Information
Service (DLIS). FED LOG is available in CD-ROM or
DVD format. For subscription, please call (877)
352-2255 or DSN 661-7766. Use the NSN, along with
FEDLOG to determine the CIIC, which is equivalent
to Security Risk Code (SRC), to determine the
minimum shipment TPS.
